Health Insurance

Health Insurance is mandatory for all UCLA registered students and a condition of enrollment. The UC Student Health Insurance Plan (UC SHIP) is a comprehensive medical insurance program offered to UCLA students. All registered students are automatically enrolled in UC SHIP, but if you have comparable insurance and you do not want to keep UC SHIP as dual coverage, you must submit a request to waive enrollment by the specified deadline. All registered students may use the services at The Ashe Center regardless of what insurance plan they have.

Happy Spring! Click here for important insurance info for Spring Quarter.
The website is now available to waive UC SHIP, purchase the dental buy up, or purchase BruinCare for spring quarter until 3/31/2013. All transactions take up to 3 days to post to your BruinBill account.
Waiver appeals take up to 30 days to be processed. Fees must still be paid during this time. If the waiver appeal is accepted, then the credit will post on to BruinBill in 3 business days.
