Start at UCLA CAPS

You are encouraged to contact the UCLA Counseling and Psychological Services Center (CAPS) if you need mental health/behavioral health care.  CAPS is an on-campus multidisciplinary center where you’ll receive coverage for student behavioral health urgent and crisis services.  If psychiatric services are needed, CAPS will refer you to UCLA Neuropsychiatric Behavior Health Services (NPBHS).

*Behavioral health services must begin at UCLA Counseling and Psychological Services.

* All out-of-area outpatient care requires prior approval from the NPBHS clinical coordinator.

You may contact CAPS online at http://www.counseling.ucla.edu or by phone at (310) 825-0768 for an appointment or additional information.
