Mental & Behavioral Health Services

Start at UCLA CAPS

You are encouraged to contact the UCLA Counseling and Psychological Services Center (CAPS) if you need mental health/behavioral health care. CAPS is an on-campus multidisciplinary center where you’ll receive coverage for student behavioral health urgent and crisis services. If psychiatric services are needed, CAPS will refer you to UCLA Neuropsychiatric Behavior Health Services (NPBHS)​​.

Info IconMental health/substance abuse services must be initiated at UCLA Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and continued care will be referred to UCLA Behavioral Health Services.
Info IconAll out-of-area outpatient care requires prior approval from the NPBHS clinical coordinator.
